At Transform Dublin, we offer a free GED program. The only cost our students may have to incur is the fee for their test at the conclusion of our program. Even with that potential cost, we offer scholarships to cover the cost of testing for those who meet set requirements.
We believe by helping individuals obtain their GED that doors will be open for career paths and a brighter future. Many businesses require a GED for employment, and our program helps bridge the gap between potential employees and businesses seeking good candidates. As we say, our GED program can be a “pathway to profession.”
In partnership with Oconee Fall Line Technical College, we are proud to assist individuals with CDL training. As part of our Reentry/Second Chance Program, offering CDL training assists those who have been incarcerated as they aim to provide a better future for themselves and their families.
Outside of our CDL Training, we also provide other training to those who have been incarcerated – including how to complete job applications, proper interview etiquette, handling finances, and more.
With the help of our Strategic Partners, we are able to offer a variety of scholarships to our qualifying program participants. We have a scholarship available within our GED Program to help offset the cost of their test.
We also have other scholarships available and hope to continue to grow this aspect of our work in the future.
2023-2024 Graduate Updates:
On June 22, 2023, two Transform Dublin program participants graduated from the Adult Education Program at Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Both students are single mothers who have worked tirelessly to achieve their goals of completing their GEDs. One of these graduates has transitioned to Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s Nursing Assistance Program, and the other is now enrolled in University of Phoenix’s Early Childhood Education BA program.
Two to three more participants are set to complete their GEDs shortly, as well. The educator who provided Transform Dublin with these fantastic statistics predicts there will be a total of ten graduates by the end of the 2024 school year.
